Fantastick's original tail always stimulates the lateral line of the bass by moving the tail not only vertically (when falling) but also when moving horizontally (jerk, twitch, etc.).
The tail responds well even when dragged in slowly, making it possible to force neutral fish on the bottom to use their mouths, which was impossible to do with conventional stick baits.
The double vertical slit installed in the center of the body is a gimmick to create lifelike movement on stick baits, which tend to have linear and mechanical actions when jerked or twitched.
It is mainly used with a no-sinker rig, targeting fish that are conscious of the surface and middle layers with jerk and twitch, draggin and bottom jerk for fish that are conscious of the bottom, and shimmying fish that stick to vertical strikes and weeds.
