Second generation Monster Jetty 1002 "DAY Special".
First generation 1002: Titanium frame SiC ring guide, total weight 4.8g.
Second generation 1002: Titanium frame TORZITE ring guide total weight 3.9g.
The difference is minus 0.9g. 18.8% weight reduction.
First generation 1002: rod weight 189g.
Second generation 1002: rod weight 163g (proto).
The difference is minus 26g. 13.8% weight reduction.
All the weight reductions that are currently possible have been done while maintaining the same moment. On top of that, the performance exceeds that of the first generation.
The first generation 1002 blanks are the final model of the Seven Sense series, so they are already equipped with 30t + 40t on the tip and 30t + 40t + 46t on the butt, and have a level of perfection that can be said to be the forerunner of the Seven Sense TR series.
Therefore, the second generation Dispe uses a newly designed mandrel for the butt, which is rarely done in design changes, and has a butt taper long cast performance that is a step up from the first generation Dispe's basic action of "balancing release and hooking". It has evolved into a blank that has a higher level of hooking and lure operability. Therefore, the tension, sensitivity, and repulsion from the tip end to the butt are improved, allowing aggressive, bold, and delicate lure operation in heavier tides than ever before. The total weight of the rod has been reduced while increasing the amount of carbon to reduce the speed of resin deterioration, which is a weak point of lightweight high taper rods.
