All the weight reductions that are currently possible have been done while maintaining the same moment. Moreover, its performance exceeds that of the second generation.
The tip of the second generation 1202 is a full 30t and the butt is 30t + 40t, while the third generation 1202 has a composite of 30t + 40t for the tip and 30t + 40t + 46t for the butt. Both the tip and butt are tensioned, sensitivity and repulsion are improved.
Regarding the mandrel taper, the taper of both the tip and butt has been slightly changed to make it slimmer, and the maximum lure weight has been increased by 10g to 50g, allowing for lighter and more aggressive plucking than ever before.
