The goal of the 2026 Steez was to maximize rod sensitivity, not only from a boat but also from the shore, even without FFS (Full Float System), so that you can feel the lure underwater as if you were looking into the water, manipulate it as you wish, and bring it to the bite—achieving what was previously impossible and making bass fishing more enjoyable.

■C64UL-ST/BF Hermit Midstrolling baitcasting rod.....A completely redesigned rod action, the Hermit Power Tune is a classic bait finesse rod that focuses on bottom feel and delicate manipulation at the bottom, with a clearly defined taper and a strong belly to butt. The 26 Hermit further refines the mid-strolling action of previous Hermit models, which were already excellent for mid-layer rigging.
Following the taper of previous Hermit models, it employs a high-modulus Mega Top with a "V-shaped taper" at the tip. By using a solid tip instead of a full tubular design, it's easier to utilize its weight for a smooth casting feel, bringing out the mid-strolling action with baitcasting lures.
By incorporating AGS and CWS, and combining Daiwa's carbon molding technology with SVF's Torayca M46X, this baitcasting mid-strolling rod offers easy control of the shake pitch, from hover strolling where only the tail vibrates without rolling, to mid-strolling with rolling action.
