The "61ML-E"—a model specifically tuned for ester lines—has been added to the Presso Air AGS series!
This is an aggressive ester-line model designed to overcome tough conditions. The new 61ML-E serves as a more powerful version of the 510UL-E, which joined the lineup in 2024.
Like the 510UL-E, it features a φ10 butt guide to minimize line trouble while maximizing casting distance and sensitivity (both regarding the reel and bite detection). The design suppresses the line slack that typically occurs just ahead of the butt guide with ester lines, thereby reducing tangles. The guide settings ensure there is no noticeable loss in casting distance despite the smaller guide diameter.
The taper is faster than that of the 510UL-E.
It achieves a fast action that leverages the combination of a soft tip and the low-stretch characteristics of ester lines.
It pairs exceptionally well with mid-to-heavyweight lures—ranging from 1.5g spoons and standard-sized crankbaits to bottom lures and minnows requiring active manipulation. It supports an aggressive fishing style that maximizes the high sensitivity of ester lines, making it the perfect new model for actively targeting fish in challenging conditions.
