With the increasing difficulty of fishing conditions, shad lures are seeing more use among moving baits.
The shad's strengths lie in its slender silhouette and tight action with reduced appeal.
While it can be used in a variety of fields, and the average range for shad lures is around 2 meters deep, we are aiming to expand that range further.
With that in mind, we pursued a shad lure that can be retrieved in water shallower than 1 meter without diving too deep to the bottom.
The body size is 63mm and 5.8g, slightly larger than the conventional High Cut, and it uses #8 hooks front and rear. It can be used with both spinning and bait finesse tackle, and the goal was to create the smallest size that doesn't cause stress when using typical bait finesse tackle.
Even among small plugs, shad lures are extremely susceptible to wind compared to round crankbaits, so after comparative testing with identical bodies, we chose a weight transfer system, which offered more advantages.
