The core model, the "MX-8SW," was designed for ultimate versatility, suitable for both shore and offshore fishing.
Based on the blank of the "MX-9S," a staple for expedition-style saltwater anglers, the large-diameter guide setting, which existed from the development and testing stages, was implemented by slightly shortening the blank length to optimize the guide spacing.
It is designed for PE line #4 as a standard, but can accommodate up to #5 at times.
As the strongest rod in the SW series and a boundary rod to the "GIGAS" series, it comes standard with a replacement rod tip similar to that of the "GIGAS" series.
