During a slow retrieve, it attracts fish with a high-pitch rolling motion and body flash; increasing the speed introduces a wobbling motion combined with the roll, enabling you to cover a wider area.
On the fall, it performs a "shimmy fall"—wobbling as it descends—ensuring you don't miss a chance for a strike.
The deep, flat-sided body effectively displaces water even with subtle movements, while the rolling action creates a flash that strongly appeals to rockfish.
