The Doran 127F is a bluegill-style hybrid lure that fuses the high-level attraction of a hard bait with the natural appeal and softness of a soft bait. It triggers bites through versatile retrieval methods and is designed to minimize lost fish.
Attaching a snap to the nose-mounted line eye configures the lure for standard surface tactics, such as dead-sticking, dead-slow reeling, and straight retrieves.
Attaching the snap to the side eye on the body allows for an action that swims diagonally upward.
Additionally, inserting the included sinker into the weight slot at the base of the lip allows for an instant transition from slow-sinking to fast-sinking modes.
It supports a wide range of techniques, including a side-to-side rolling action during stop-and-go retrieves, a cranking action during steady reeling, and even sight-fishing applications like dead-sticking on the bottom.
