The lever drag system used in the Ocea Jigger LD offers many advantages, such as easily achieving high drag values and allowing for instant and precise drag adjustments. However, it also has a drawback: the handle becomes heavier as the drag force increases.
To minimize this drawback, the Ocea Jigger LD incorporates Infinity Drive into its lever drag. By using a newly developed double drag structure with two drag washers, it successfully achieves high drag force with low thrust. This results in up to 30% lighter rotational torque compared to conventional reels of the same size.
This light rotation, similar to a star drag system, is the Ocea Jigger LD's advantage. You'll immediately notice the difference when comparing it to a conventional lever drag system. Furthermore, the drag lever utilizes a cold-forged lever specifically designed for the Ocea Jigger LD. Its high rigidity and carefully considered shape enable smoother drag operation.
