The Super Killer Bill's effective casting range is approximately 1-2m. The basic techniques include reeling and killing (pausing), jerking and ripping, and twitching. The joint mechanism and the flexible soft tail make the irregular dart action of a long bill minnow, previously considered difficult, possible with just a light twitch. Anyone can easily create surprisingly realistic and seductive irregular darts.
The flexibility of the separate body and the unique joint angle allow for a fluttering, side-to-side action with light, rhythmic short twitches.
When the water temperature is low, pump reeling with plenty of pause time is effective, but as the water temperature rises, twitching and jerking with an emphasis on the mid-layer are effective. This is an essential tool, especially for targeting large fish during the pre-spawn period.
The Super Killer Bill's maximum depth is around 2m, but if you start twitching without letting it dive too deep thanks to the joint, it has excellent range-keeping ability, maintaining a depth of 1m, making it effective from the shore as well.
