The Super Killer Bill's effective casting range is approximately 1-2m. The basic techniques are reeling and killing (pausing), jerking and ripping, twitching, and the flexible joint mechanism and soft tail. With just a light twitch, the irregular darting motions previously considered difficult with long bill minnows are now possible. Anyone can easily create surprisingly realistic and seductive irregular darting motions.
The flexibility of the separate body and the unique joint angle create a fluttering, side-to-side action with light, rhythmic short twitches.
Pump reeling with extended pauses is effective in cold water temperatures, while twitching and jerking with an emphasis on the mid-water layer are effective as the water warms. This is an essential item, especially when targeting large fish during the pre-spawn period.
The Super Killer Bill has a maximum depth of around 2m, but if you start twitching without letting it dive too deep thanks to the joint, it has excellent range-keeping ability, maintaining a depth of 1m, making it effective even from the shore.
