"Closed length of 50cm or less" and "grip compatible". A monumental model that set the direction for Dear Monster.
The "MX-6" is a model that meets the demands for a high-performance multi-piece rod known as a "monster rod" and sets the standard for the future. Development started as a "pocket sword" of the existing model (90cmClosed length).
We designed it with a closed length of less than 50cm to prevent lost baggage and wanted to carry one on board, and on top of that, we achieved a maximum lift of 10kg in a 60 degree strength test.
The MX-6 changed not only the standard of portability. The idea of grip compatibility, which was born at the same time as "Closed length of 50cm or less," created a new value standard called "extensibility," and later became a standard specification for all models in the Dear Monster series. Short rods are best suited for boat fishing, which requires precision and maneuverability in approach, and for shore fishing, in small-scale environments such as mountain streams.
