My goal was to create a spare rod that would be my first fishing rod for mountain stream fishing, and one that could be used in conjunction with other specialty rods that I would acquire later in my career. After passing through the sub-rods used by my family, I finally found my favorite rod in my fishing life, one that I can look back on and feel was the best. When I held the final prototype model in my hands and looked at its light blue curves, I felt like I could become one of them.
