Recommended hook size: Jig head #1
"Clionex" is crafted from an elastomer material. When paired with a jig head and fished using the "Tsurushi-style jig-stroking" technique—where the lure is suspended near cover and shaken—it produces a superb 3D action: the body rolls while dancing erratically in all directions, and its arms churn the water. Despite its compact size, its vigorous movement draws in bass from a wide area, triggering aggressive strikes.
The use of elastomer material not only enhances the seductive, lifelike motion of the arms but also ensures the durability required when pitching the lure into heavy cover.
Beyond the "Tsurushi-style jig-stroking" method with a jig head, the Clionex is versatile enough for a variety of other approaches—such as a weightless rig for a "bug-style" surface presentation, or a down-shot rig that leverages the natural buoyancy of the elastomer material.
