In addition to the high line capacity essential for high-power battles, it features the Magnumlite Spool IV. This latest technology minimizes spool wobble and boosts long-casting capabilities, resulting in a dramatic improvement in overall castability.
The spool dimensions match those of the proven Antares DC MD. It boasts a retrieval rate of 101cm (XG model) per handle turn—the fastest in the 200 size class.

The Magnumlite Spool IV utilizes a reverse-taper design to optimize rotational performance. By correcting the line-winding profile through this reverse-tapered shape, it reduces wobble during rotation, thereby unlocking the spool's full rotational potential and contributing to superior casting performance.
The spool dimensions have been narrowed to 38mm (diameter) by 21mm (width), compared to the 35mm by 23mm specs of the SVS-equipped Scorpion MD. This configuration mirrors the proven Antares DC MD, allowing the I-DC5 system to deliver maximum performance.
It is equipped with the latest I-DC5 system, which allows for precise, 15-level brake adjustments using only an external dial.
While previous I-DC5 versions offered 5 brake levels specific to line types (Nylon, PE, Fluorocarbon), this new system organizes settings into three modes—L (Low), M (Medium), and H (High)—each with 5 levels. This creates a total of 15 settings, expanding the braking force range and enabling finer adjustments. Consequently, anglers can directly and quickly select the optimal braking force for any situation or objective, regardless of line type.
This system not only ensures trouble-free operation but also allows anglers to pursue greater casting distances across a wide range of fishing scenarios.
